St Bernard Hospital

Do you want a 20 bed hospital in St. Bernard Parish? Or would a 40 to 60 bed hospital serve our needs better? If you want a 20 bed hospital then sit back and do nothing. If you want a larger facility then contact our State Senator A.G Crowe and let him know how you feel. His e-mail address is: crowea@legis.state.la.us.

St. Bernard Parish had over 200 hospital beds priot to Katrina with a population of aobut 60,000. Now with a population of about 30,000 some have proposed a 20 bed hospital! This doesn't make sense.

TO CONCERNED RESIDENTS OF ST. BERNARD......

LOBBY OUR STATE SENATORS TODAY!!!!....especially Senator A.G.Crowe
about our St. Bernard Hospital Service District (HSD)c

The Eastern St. Bernard Organinzing Committee has met several times in past weeks to study our Hospital issues, with concerns about getting the right size facility, well equipped, with the very best management possible.

WE FEEL THAT HOUSE BILL 922 IS CRITICALLY IMPORTANT TO ACCOMPLISH THIS!!!!
House Bill 922 would exempt our St. Bernard doctors from certain rules which would prevent them from serving on our Hospital Service District (HSD).

PLEASE contact our Senator Crowe - his e-mail address is crowea@legis.state.la.us.
His telephone # is 225-342-2040, fax 985-645-3566.
ALSO... contact our all Louisiana State Senators for support of this issue!!
HOUSE BILL 922 is on the Senate's voting agenda TOMORROW.

URGE THE SENATORS TO SUPPORT House Bill 922
exempting our St. Bernard doctors from certain rules
which would prevent them from serving on our Hospital Service District (HSD).
Our physician's presence on the HSD board is VITALLY IMPORTANT to goals outlined above...
the RIGHT SIZE FACILITY, WELL EQUIPPED, with RESPONSIBLE, CARING MANAGEMENT, and which is AFFORDABLE. The passage of this bill will help assure that.
